The book I want to read…
The book I have been wanting to read for a long time is Pendragon Book Nine: Raven Rise by D.J. MacHale. It is part of a series of ten books. I have read the first eight, and they are some of the best books I have ever read. Currently, this book is making me very angry because everything is going wrong. I am about a fourth of the way through the book right now, and I hope it gets better. The other books I am looking at to read are To Kill a Mockingbird, A Separate Peace, and Of Mice and Men.

Omg Taylor!
I want to read the same classics as you! Haha.
My problem is, they are never in at the library!
Just figured I’d let you know I dropped by
See you at practice.

You folks may need to actually buy these books – they are just a few $$ each. Maybe you could share if you each buy one?? Several times I’ve actually had a kid to DROP OUT of Honors 9 because he/she “couldn’t find” the books. Also, often you can find these at a used bookstore, or ask a friend who had me last year.
What practice are y’all at?

Brandi Allen and I have basketball practice and basketball camp during June. We have already had 2 camps and five practices. It has been really fun, because I am in love with basketball. However, I still haven’t gotten used to being called “freshman”.

Yeah, it’s hard to think about being at the high school as, like, OH NO!! the YOUNGEST!!
But if you’re seeing all your buddies at camps and practices, then the transition won’t be too bad.
I love how you’ve put your pic up here – good job!
I don’t have that figured out yet.
Do you get to keep your same number at the HS? or do you have to change according to what position you are assigned?

When I was at JMS, I had the number 43. This year, I can’t get that number, because the girls have even numbers, and the guys have the odd numbers. However, the number doesn’t depend on what position you play. Usually, the seniors go first, then the juniors, and so on. I guess I will just get whatever number is left. I will probably stick with that number all the way through high school. That is what happened at JMS. As a sixth grader, I had to get 43, because we had to choose last. I just decided to keep that number.

Well, you explained things I did not know, thanks!
.
I think keeping the same number is much easier, too. You can have it embossed on your mom’s car, and scratch it on all your notebooks
So, how’s the reading now?

I just finished Pendragon Book Nine: Raven Rise. It took me a while to read it because it is 544 pages and I have had basketball camps most of June, but I am finally done. It was a really good book. Everything didn’t turn out as I expected, but I feel that the last book will turn out with the good guys having a victory.
