Finally Finished!
I just recently finished the book Pendragon Book Nine: Raven Rise. It was an AMAZING book! During the whole book, it seemed as if nothing could go right. Everything was turning to chaos, and sometimes I just didn’t want to read it. However, things got better. It got to where I couldn’t put the book down. I was sure that things would end with everything working out perfectly, but once again, I was wrong. As I neared the end, I found out that there were several betrayals and a group of about 70,000 people were killed for standing up for what they believed in. Then, in the last chapter of the book, a group of eleven people called the “Travelers” banded together and are planning to stop Saint Dane, their enemy, in the final book. That ending made the whole book better. Now, I am planning to read To Kill a Mockingbird.

Wow! What did the 70,000 believe in that they were killed for? I’m studying social justice in my classes at Kennesaw this summer and I want to look at some issues when we get together in class.
How long have you been working on the Pendragon series? Is the 10th book out yet? No one last year told me about them, so are they kind of new?

Well, I started reading them about three years ago, but they had been out little bit before then. Yes, the tenth book is out, but hasn’t been out very long. Now, the 70,000 people died when a group called the Ravinians were trying to make a society of the elite. If you had been successful in life, you would be treated like royalty. If you hadn’t, then you would be treated like dirt. The majority of the population agreed with this, but there were still voices out there who could see how bad this idea was. They decided to protest and had the 70,000 people gather to fight for the cause. They were all “eliminated” in a way that I’m not going to describe in this comment. This was a MAJOR turning point in the book that paved the road for the “Ravinians” to exceed.
